Aeschynanthus 'Firecracker'

I received a single short piece of stem of this plant from the hybridizer, Bill Saylor, at his greenhouse in Cape Cod. It is a primary hybrid of A. micranthus and A. parviflorus, and blooms heavily under natural lighting in the fall and winter. Under artificial light it is more or less everblooming. This specimen was grown suspended under flourescent lights, in fairly high light circumstances.
