Cobananthus calochlamys

This interesting plant has large, showy and persistent calyces, which should be left on the plant after flowering for their decorative effect. Another photo of the species shows a naturalistic planting at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh.

Some botanists consider this plant to be an Alloplectus, A. calochlamys.
