Growing in nature in Peru

An infusion of this plant is used by Indians in Peru as a baby wash for protection against the spirit of the woolly monkey.   A closeup photo of the flower illustrates the remarkably attractive colored calyces.  The flower and the vining plant can be seen here in cultivation.
