This spectacular bed of this beautiful species was outside in semi-shade, at Palm Hammock Nursery, south of Miami.  The photo was taken in mid-January.  Closeups of a flower, here and here,  illustrate the brilliant color and interesting markings.  A flower variant (a possible hybrid) has quite different markings.
