Growing in nature in Brazil

P. plumeroides forms a small tree in nature.  Another photo of this species, showing some leaf detail, can be seen here.  Another species, P. prasinata, has interesting green bat-pollinated flowers, and P. tenuiflora has showy lavender flowers.
