This well-grown and elegant plant was exhibited at the 2007 Convention of The Gesneriad Society.  Juvenile specimens of this species exhibit a pronounced and unusual variegation, with a very dark mid-leaf, with a silvery surround and dark red leaf backs.  The red leaf backs are retained to maturity, which culminates in this interesting cluster of flowers in the middle of the plant.
