This spectacular specimen illustrates what can be done with this species, with diligent culture.  Even out of bloom it is beautiful.  Other examples of the species can be seen here, here and here.  Note that there is some uncertainty about its taxonomic location.

Note how the leaves are arranged in a spiral pattern, clearly visible in this photo.
