Ramonda myconi
Grown at Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh
This plant is growing against a completely vertical rock wall -- the rosette is at right angles to the ground. Edinburgh is a relatively dry environment, and the various Ramonda are mostly planted in small nooks in rock walls -- illustrating the importance of a well-drained growing medium and restrained watering for best growth. Flowers of the standard pinkish/lavender and the lesser known white forms may also be seen here.
