Plants grown as S. sp. 'Lavender Queen' vary quite a bit, drawing into question the accuracy of the label or the appropriateness of applying a cultivar name.  This plant, for instance, is quite different than the one here, which was grown from one of the original distributions of seed under this name.  It may be that this plant is simply another form of the basic species.
