Streptocarpus rexii
Growing in Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve, Western Cape Province, South Africa
This specimen appears to be rooted in moss or a narrow rocky cleft, immediately above a fast-flowing stream. Under these conditions it will be exceptionally well drained (seldom wet at the roots), but always damp. Other photos of S. rexii may be seen, including a closeup of the white-flowered form, and a blue form growing on the forest floor.
