This beautiful unifoliate was grown from seed obtained from the AGGS seed fund in 1995.  A photo of the whole plant can be seen here, and of this plant surrounded by other cultivars here.

S. vandeleurii is scented, with an odd no-floral scent sometimes described as medicinal.  It has passed on this scent, and its floriferous nature to hybrids, as here.
