Grown at Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh
S. caulescensis an annual member of the Streptocarpella (stemmed) section of the genus Streptocarpus. In nature it grows in moist locations such as streamsides. As can be seen from this photo of a bank of S. caulescens at the RBGE glasshouses, it has something of the "look and feel" of the North American jewelweed, an annual Impatiens of moist locations.
