Streptocarpus hybrid (Rose) 4
Grown by Chris Rose
This is one of a series of hybrids produced by Chris Rose from Streptocarpus formosus, in this case in a cross with S. 'Elsi'. The dark-flecked yellow band in the throat is inherited from formosus, as is the characteristic shape with a prominent lower lobe and long narrow tube. Unfortunately, the presence of formosus in the background of a plant usually results in a relatively low flower count on each stalk, compensated to some degree by the large size of the flowers. A sibling plant has been named S. 'Largesse'.
